"Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley is one of if not the most famous example of a Gothic science fiction novel. Frankenstein is a novel that centers around the abuse of science. The story is being told by the Victor Frankenstein, who is the creator of the monster. Obsessed with the creation of life, Victor creates a monster from dead body parts who later destroys his life. The result is the death of Victor, his loved ones and the monster itself. The central theme of this novel is the consequences of creation by using science.
